Russia Could Attack Nato within Three Years, Warns Denmark

THE TELEGRAPH: The Danish defence minister has warned Russia could go to war with Nato in as little as three years.

Troels Lund Poulsen, who also serves as Denmark’s deputy prime minister, has joined colleagues from the UK, Sweden, Romania, Germany and others in raising the alarm about increased Russian defence spending and manufacturing.

“It cannot be ruled out that within a three- to five-year period, Russia will test Article 5 and Nato’s solidarity. That was not Nato’s assessment in 2023. This is new information that is coming to the fore now,” Mr Poulsen told Jyllands-Posten, a Danish newspaper. » | Friday, February 9, 2024

Dealing with Jew Hate (Denmark)

Mar 19, 2022 | These videos are made to show what really exists behind the curtains of the minds of many around us. Many people hide the antisemitism they hold as truth or are reluctant to show it, but when you ask the right questions, the Emet (truth) is revealed.

The following video gets heated at times. Keep in mind that when one gets into such conversations, who the person is, what they think, or how they will react are all a part of the unknown.

Some of these individuals likely have mental health issues, and that becomes evident towards the end of the conversation, which is why when this is recognized one must be extra cautious of one’s body language, tone, and choice of words.

It's also interesting to point out that the individual makes a comment that his antisemitic beliefs were inherited from his parents and ancestors before him, which shows how many people are still taught to hate Jews as children before they ever even meet a Jewish person themselves.

Denmark’s prime minister has proclaimed Frederik X as king on the balcony of Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, after Queen Margrethe II formally signed her abdication, ending her 52-year reign as Denmark’s longest-serving monarch.

Thousands of people gathered on the streets of the Danish capital on Sunday to greet Frederik and bid farewell to Margrethe, who has become the first Danish monarch in nearly 900 years to abdicate voluntarily.

At 3pm exactly, the doors to the Christiansborg balcony opened and the new king came out, where he was met with huge cheers from the thousands standing outside and an explosion of silver confetti. The crowd, some dressed in crowns, others drinking champagne, waved red and white flags.

He was joined by the prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, who thanked the outgoing queen and praised the new king before leading a chorus of cheers, raising her arm as she did so. Then it was the turn of the new king, who paid tribute to his mother, his wife and his family before being joined by the new Queen Mary, dressed in white, followed by their four children. Australian-born Mary is the first commoner to become queen in Denmark.

Australians Gather in Copenhagen to Assist Danes in Welcoming Denmark's New Monarchs

Jan 12, 2024 | Tens of thousands of people are expected to line the streets of Copenhagen to welcome Denmark’s new King and Queen as Australian-born Princess Mary will ascend to the throne alongside her husband Prince Frederik.

Amalienborg Castle, which is the royal residence, will see people from both Denmark and Australia brave the cold to catch a first glimpse of the new monarchs. The coronation party will then travel to Christiansborg Palace where they will ascend to the throne.

Australia’s Ambassador to Denmark Ms Kerin Ayyalaraju is preparing a gift for the royal couple as an acknowledgement to Princess Mary’s Tasmanian roots and is encouraging messages of support from Down Under.

The event will begin just after 11:30pm AEDT [Australian Eastern Standard Time] and 1:30pm in Copenhagen, capital city of Denmark

‘She’s the Best’: Copenhagen Prepares for Queen Margrethe’s Abdication Day

On the streets of Copenhagen, the sound of drums boomed from the square and a blur of red and white flags came into view. People on cherrypickers tidied up buildings and staff at a department store replaced sales flags with the national one.

The arrival of a single police car, parked in the middle of the road, stopped traffic. Minutes later, the square filled with the sound of horses’ hooves on cobbles as riders arrived carrying brass instruments and silver swords followed by an empty carriage pulled by six horses. It was the rehearsal on Friday for the once-in-a-generation event set to unfold in little more than 48 hours: the formal abdication of Denmark’s Queen Margrethe II.

Though preparations were under way in the capital, the coronation of the queen’s son, Crown Prince Frederik, will be understated – particularly in comparison to that of King Charles. In Denmark, there will be no jewel-encrusted crowns, golden coaches or fur robes. As has been the case since the introduction of the constitution in 1849, there will not even be a ceremony.

Instead, after a procession by Frederik and his wife, Mary, followed by the queen, to Christiansborg Palace, the proclamation will be delivered by the prime minister. At 3pm, Mette Frederiksen will appear on the balcony of the palace, the home of the Danish parliament, to announce the new monarch. » | Miranda Bryant in Copenhagen | Saturday, January 13, 2024

Queen Margrethe Takes Final Carriage Ride as Danish Monarch after Unexpected Abdication

Jan 4, 2024 | As Denmark’s reigning monarch, Queen Margrethe II took her final ride through Copenhagen in a gold-coated horse-drawn carriage on Thursday, 10 days before she is set to pass the throne on to her eldest son, Crown Prince Frederik.

Crowned in 1972, serving for more than five decades, the beloved Queen Margrethe announced her intent to abdicate in her annual New Year’s Eve speech on a live television broadcast — shocking much of the nation.

“She has been a stable figure,” Danish church employee Bente Lindbak Pihl said on Thursday after attending the Queen’s final carriage ride in the country’s capital. “She has been a kind of big mother for all of us. She has been clever and inspiring.”

Queen Margrethe was not initially intended to become Denmark’s monarch, however, she became heir to her father, King Frederik IX, in 1953 at the age of 13, after a constitutional amendment allowed women to inherit the throne.

Denmark, Fearing Reprisals, Bans Quran Burning

THE NEW TORK TIMES: The law came after a series of public Quran burnings in Scandinavia caused uproar in Muslim communities.

EXTRACT: … “The terrorist threat level against Denmark is alarmingly high,” said a spokesman for the Moderates party, which is part of the coalition government. “This law is introduced out of necessity, not out of desire.”

But the measure was sharply criticized by opponents, including the right-wing Liberal Alliance party. Steffen Larsen, a Liberal Alliance lawmaker, said during a heated debate in Parliament on Thursday that it was a product of “political correctness” and that it was “designed to restrain the freedom of speech and the artistic freedom.”

The measure, Mr. Larsen said, is “nothing to be proud of.”

Nina Palesa Bonde, a deputy judge at the Copenhagen District Court, also criticized the ban, arguing on social media that it protected a text that “is used as a death sentence for women, Jews, homosexuals in many countries.” … Read the whole article here » | Maya Tekeli and Emma Bubola | Maya Tekeli reported from Copenhagen, and Emma Bubola from London. | Thursday, December 7, 2023

Danish MPs Vote to Ban Desecration of Religious Texts after Qur’an Burnings

GUARDIAN EUROPE: String of incidents where Islamic text was burned in Denmark and Sweden prompted intensively debated bill

The Danish parliament has voted to ban the burning of religious scriptures after a series of Qur’an desecrations in the country and neighbouring Sweden.

After months of intensive debate, a bill making it illegal to burn, soil, trample on or cut recognised religious scriptures including the Qur’an, the Bible or the Torah was passed with 94 votes in favour and 77 against.

Over the summer copies of the Qur’an were burned or otherwise damaged during a series of protests in Denmark and Sweden, prompting international uproar. The diplomatic crisis that followed led both governments to say they would look at ways to legally limit such acts.

The Danish government has presented the move as a security measure. Presenting the proposal in August, the justice minister, Peter Hummelgaard, a Social Democrat, said: “It harms Denmark and Danish interests, and risks harming the security of Danes abroad and here at home.”

Those who break the new law could be punished with fines or up to two years in prison. » | Miranda Bryant in Stockholm | Thursday, December 7, 2023

The politicians in the Danish parliament must be a lily-livered lot! This is a truly retrograde step. Whatever happened to freedom of expression in Denmark? Is someone also going to be imprisoned for burning fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm?

This is the re-introduction of a blasphemy law through the back door! Weakness! Weakness! Weakness! Weakness, which helps the Islamization of Europe along. Shame on the lot of you! – © Mark Alexander

Danish MP: “It Is Impossible to Integrate These People.” | From 2016

Jan 26, 2016

Of course they can't be integrated. That should be clear to all by now. Their prophet told them to set themselves apart from the unbelievers, the kafir (Wikipedia). So, the West has no chance. The more religious Muslims are, the more difficult it becomes to integrate them. This is not an opinion, it is a FACT! – © Mark Alexander

The Escalating Frequency of Quran Burnings in Sweden and Denmark Sparks Outrage in the Muslim World

Sep 4, 2023 | The burning of the Quran in Denmark and Sweden has raised security concerns both domestically and internationally for the traditionally secular Nordic nations. Denmark has recently suggested a ban on burning all sacred texts. Could this move by Copenhagen be a solution that balances the preservation of freedom of speech while also addressing security and diplomatic challenges?

That Denmark is re-introducing a form of blasphemy law to deal with these Quran burnings is as insane as it is outrageous. This will put Denmark, once a bastion of enlightened liberal values, on a fast track to the ‘New Dark Age’ I wrote of so many years ago!

It is not difficult to understand WHY the Danish government may conclude that this is the right political decision; but it is NOT. The re-introduction of ANY form of blasphemy law is WRONG. And it is wrong in so many ways and for so many reasons.

The blasphemy law in Denmark has only relatively recently been repealed. I am pretty sure that it was never, if ever, used by the Danish Christian community. But here, we are dealing with a very different community! The Muslim community will take every opportunity to use this law against any perceived transgressor. Be sure of one thing, Denmark: The Danish courts will used by Muslims to help firmly establish Islam’s hoped-for supremacy in the country.

By re-introducing a rejigged blasphemy law into the nation’s statute books, Denmark is embarking on a new journey on a very slippery and dangerous road.

This is the beginning of the end of true freedom for the Danes. – © Mark Alexander

Denmark Mulls Banning Desecration of Holy Books amid Quran Burnings | DW News

Aug 26, 2023 | The Danish government is proposing legislation that would make it illegal to desecrate holy books in public. Though it would apply to the Christian Bible and the Jewish Talmud, there's no doubt that it's in response to a recent spate of public burnings of the Muslim holy book, the Quran. Denmark and neighbouring Sweden have seen a number of such Quran burnings in recent weeks, provoking a backlash in Muslim countries.
